We hope you all have had fun playing the Open Beta this last month. More importantly, we appreciate all of the support and feedback you've given us. Without everyone that stuck around through the long period between Alpha and Open Beta and the plethora of new players that have started playing, we would not be able to return these patches to you at the rate we have. With that being said, it is time to release Patch 1.4.
This week we have decided, once again, to focus on fixing bugs and implementing some of your feedback. This patch will consist of map alterations, glitch fixes, crash fixes, and a couple weapon alterations. Remember that this is just a patch and you will need to have the Open Beta 1.0 build installed before you apply it.

Changelog - Open Beta 1.4

  • ! Fixed the minimap button not being bound by default. It's now on "m"
  • ! Fixed a crash in the scoreboard on map change.
  • ! Fixed not being able to shoot through many foliage models.
  • ! Fixed the scope not drawing 3D Skybox elements.
  • + Added a new particle effect when shooting foliage (WIP).
  • + Added Ste. Marie du Mont.
  • - Removed ammo crates' ability to give grenade ammo.
  • Changed the scoreboard to make it slightly cleaner and make the   tickets more easily readable.
  • Changed the default spawn time to be 35 seconds instead of 20.
  • Changed the G43 reload animations to have a slight delay.
  • Changed the G43 firing animations to make it slightly harder to  aim after a shot.
  • Changed the sensitivity change handling to, hopefully, help  some of the random switching problems.
  • Changed the damage of the two pistols to take them down to a  more acceptable level.
  • Changed the G43's recoil to make it feel more like it was  firing the 7.92x57mm round that it is.
  • Changed the number of G43s the Germans have by default.
  • Changed the spread of all primary weapons to make them slightly  more inaccurate.
  • Updated St. Côme du Mont to update the overview map to fix the %  captured of Village West being off the map, and resize the trenches  capture zone.
  • Updated St. Mére Eglise to change the size of the arrows on the  overview script, fixed various bugs like fix that the allies could never  spawn in the Hotel, fix the fallback trigger would not protect the  Germans at the Hotel, and fix the server lockups when the church doors  are closed.
  • Updated the La Fiere to change squad scripts to change the team  makeup slightly, fix a lot of bugs, reduce the z-clip plane by 300, add  a nice looking HDR effect when you leave dark buildings, add a new area  on the right side of the bridge, change the water texture to a cheaper  one, changed the manor area so Axis cannot recapture it, add a lot of  new cover, optimize the map a bit, and make some tweaks to the spawns  for the Germans.
  • Updated many sounds including: 
  • Changed nearly every fire  sound based on player feedback.
    Changed the volume of footsteps to make them louder.
  • Changed various other sounds.
